Snowball Earth

Yukio was lost in a battle, and Tetsuo was drifting through space in an escape pod. Eight years pass in cold sleep before he finally returns to Earth. But instead of getting back home, he finds a frozen planet covered in endless snow. What led humanity to this? How did Earth turn into a snowball, and will Tetsuo manage to honour his last promise to Yukio?
