Grow Up Show: Himawari no Circus-dan

Set in Japan during the country’s economic boom in the 1950s, the story takes place in a time when circuses were one of the most popular forms of entertainment. Circus groups from across the country compete for a chance to perform at the circus collection during a famous national festival. 

The story follows the Sunflower Circus, a small struggling circus led by the passionate ringmaster Maria. Their life changes completely when a strange girl, Mizuka Tsurumaki, joins their team for no reason. As Mizuka trains along the circus performers, she forms a strong bond with her new companions. Together they work hard to improve performance and chase their dream to become one of Japan’s biggest circus troupes.
